BEHIND THE BRAND

I’ve always had a love of colourful fashion, conversational prints and vintage style. After a long career as a handbag & accessory designer for luxury British brands, I spotted a niche in the market for colourful, contemporary leather gloves, and so the Mabel & Frederick Sheppard brands were born (named after my Grandparents).

Surface pattern, and a sense of fun define the Mabel Sheppard aesthetic.

Each design is timeless, cheerful and defies seasonal trends.

I hope my gloves and accessories will bring a smile to your face, and lift your spirits on the gloomiest of days

SUSTAINABILITY & MANUFACTURING

All leathers used are a by-product of the food, wool and dairy industries and a completely renewable source.

I work closely with my manufacturers and they are regularly assessed by the Amfori BSCI code of conduct to meet globally recognised standards for health & safety, labour standards and workers rights.

COMMUNITY &CHARITY

Stock and samples are regularly donated to local charities. As a member of CFA (Charity Fairs Association), a proportion of sales at these events are donated to charities including Save The Children and Isabel Hospice.
